The web conference event will occur prior to their release in the annual Predictions Edition of Electronic TeleSpan the industry's foremost newsletter. Predictions will be made by Elliot M.
Gold has had unparalleled accuracy in making predictions. Since 1996, Gold has made 140 predictions (10 each year) with a running accuracy score of 72% (101 accurate predictions out of 140).
SCHAUMBURG, IL, December 16, 2009 - Conference Plus, Inc. (ConferencePlus™), a subsidiary of Westell Technologies, Inc. and a leading global provider of audio, web, webcasting and video conferencing services, today announced the official launch of its Managed Audio Bridge Service. This service is an enterprise-wide audio conferencing solution for bridge installations over 500 ports that connect to customer's existing VoIP or TDM networks.

High-volume corporate conferencing users can gain significant optimization and security benefits with audio bridge equipment installed on-site. However, those who purchase their own conferencing bridge encounter significant service delivery and support costs that often swamp the benefits. ConferencePlus' Managed Audio Bridge Service gives customers the benefits of on-site equipment along with the advantages of being a Conferencing Service Provider (CSP) customer. This offering provides full remote management and maintenance of the on-site bridge and conferencing service by ConferencePlus' support team with multiple service integration options and dedicated account team support.

"Large conferencing customers traditionally receive their conferencing services from either a Conference Service Provider (CSP) like ConferencePlus, or through purchasing and managing their own conference bridge", said Greg Doerr, Chief Operating Officer for ConferencePlus. "Our Managed Audio Bridge Service provides a 'best of both worlds' solution for large enterprises who want their own on-site bridging equipment without the issues of self installation and management. With over 21 years of expertise in this area, ConferencePlus can eliminate these issues for a customer while offering a full portfolio of additional conferencing services and options," Mr. Doerr added.

All installations are available with the full integration of Microsoft® Office Live Meeting, WebEx™ Meeting Center and IBM® LotusLive™ Meeting. These integrations include provisioning, audio control, roster integration and automatic archive management. Customers also have access to their own fully branded Account Dashboard web portal. This Dashboard allows end users, Executive Administrators and Site Administrators full control over their subscriptions, scheduled conferences, usage summary and archives. Single Sign On (SSO) integration with the customers' IT infrastructure further simplifies deployment and improves adoption.

"ConferencePlus has recently completed a multiple site installation of our Managed Audio Bridge Service for a major international telecommunications equipment and services company," said Mr. Doerr. "The combined level of security and cost savings this solution offered made it a great fit for this customer. As these numerous benefits would apply to many large organizations, we foresee this segment of our business continuing to grow within this market." Mr. Doerr added.

ConferencePlus Managed Audio Bridge Service can typically be purchased for less than the total cost of ownership of a purchased bridge. ConferencePlus provides all project management and installation services as part of the package with no required up-front installation costs. ConferencePlus is Personal Card Security certified and complies with the applicable sections of ISO 7001.

SCHAUMBURG, IL, October 08, 2009 - Conference Plus, Inc. (ConferencePlus™), a subsidiary of Westell Technologies, Inc. and a leading global provider of audio, web, webcasting and video conferencing services, today announced the launch of ConferencePlus One, a flat rate audio and web conferencing package featuring Microsoft® Office Live Meeting. The ConferencePlus One package provides the small and medium-sized business market with a complete audio and web conferencing solution at an affordable flat rate.

ConferencePlus One gives customers unlimited use of the Microsoft Office Live Meeting web conferencing platform with up to 15 participants for one year. Offered at a flat, annual rate, ConferencePlus One includes integrated audio conferencing at no additional charge.

"We're very excited to offer this conferencing package and pricing model to our small and medium-sized customers," said Tim Reedy, President and CEO, ConferencePlus. "We designed this package to help simplify conferencing budgets for smaller organizations, while giving them a complete solution to fill all of their audio and web conferencing needs," Mr. Reedy added.

In addition to simplifying budgeting and eliminating billing surprises with the flat rate model, customers receive added benefit from ConferencePlus One's high-quality audio conferencing service. ConferencePlus audio is integrated directly with the Microsoft Office Live Meeting platform and gives customers a seamless solution with substantially better audio quality than similar products in the marketplace.

"One of the main differentiators of our ConferencePlus One package is the integration of our high-quality audio conferencing," said Mr. Reedy. "While similar web packages are currently being offered on the market, they typically leave customers with the unreliable nature of VoIP for their audio conferencing. Since VoIP audio relies on the host's PC resources and internet transport, the audio quality for the users can be inconsistent at best. With ConferencePlus One, our customers receive the latest audio technology available and our industry-leading customer support included in their flat annual rate. All of this combined with the robust feature set of Microsoft Office Live Meeting and ConferencePlus online account management tools gives our small and medium-sized customers an easy choice," Mr. Reedy added.

SCHAUMBURG, IL, June 12, 2009 - Conference Plus, Inc. (ConferencePlus™) a leading global provider of audio, web, webcasting and video conferencing services, today announced its latest release of Share Portal™, an innovative online content management service for conferencing.

With this latest release of Share Portal, ConferencePlus customers using WebEx ™ will now have their web conference recordings automatically stored in their online content management tool. Customers can then publish those archived web conferences to secure web pages to be shared with a select group of their choice.

"The intention behind creating the Share Portal product was to give our customers complete control of the content they create," said Tim Reedy, President and CEO, ConferencePlus. "Adding this increased functionality gives our WebEx users a simple way to manage their content and extend the life of their recorded web conferences. We've seen customers publish and share everything from training classes to lead generation webinars, and we've seen them gain tremendous value by doing so," Mr. Reedy added.

In addition to automatically storing audio conferences, Microsoft® Office Live Meeting recordings and WebEx recordings, Share Portal now has the capability with this latest release to store Event Manger™ event registrations. Event Manager is ConferencePlus' event management service that handles Investor Relations calls and other high-profile conferencing events.

This new Event Manager functionality gives customers hosting events the ability to publish their event registrations directly to their secure webpages for participants to register. Published in both a calendar and detailed list format, this enhancement gives hosts multiple options to drive registration in addition to the standard email invitation.

"Investor Relations calls have always been our expertise with regard to event conferencing," said Mr. Reedy. "However, we've recently seen market demand grow substantially with regard to webinars and webinar hosting. As this segment of our business has continued to increase, we felt offering event integration into our content management service would add the most value to our customer base," Mr. Reedy added.

Workers comfortable with new media help push growing trend

Friday, September 12, 2008
By Margaret Harding, The Columbus Dispatch

Rocky VanBrimmer gets camera-ready from his couch.

The Delaware real-estate agent goes from loungewear to work wear by simply throwing on a business shirt over his white T-shirt and torn jeans. After all, he needs to look professional
only from the waist up.

Instead of hopping in a car or boarding a plane, VanBrimmer uses an online video-chatting system called ooVoo to do business with other agents across the country.

Videoconferencing is on the rise as businesses struggle to keep up with soaring travel costs on tight budgets.

Worldwide in 2007, videoconferencing grew by 29 percent from the year before, and it is expected to grow by about 21 percent each year until 2012, Frost & Sullivan analyst Krithi Rao said.

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH , RENEE SAUER

From his couch in Delaware, Minister Realty agent Rocky VanBrimmer uses ooVoo, an online video-chatting system, to speak with Todd Wailer (left on the computer screen) in Ann Arbor, Mich. VanBrimmer said the system is cheap and easy.

That's a change from $1.6 billion worth of videoconferencing in 2007 to an expected $4.2 billion in 2012.

She credits the growth to high travel costs, increased interest in reducing a company's carbon footprint and more workers who are comfortable using video, among other factors.

"It's a perfect combination of a perfect storm," she said. "The technology has been advancing over the last couple of years. It's hit the point where it's really acceptable to businesses."

VanBrimmer, who works for Minister Realty, also finds ooVoo's price acceptable. The service allows a user to video-chat with two people for free. Its premium service, for $10 a month, allows a user to video-chat with five people and offers other features.

While VanBrimmer uses online conferencing to expand business, other companies are using video and Web conferencing to keep travel costs in check.

A National Business Travel Association survey found that 50 percent of travel managers said their organizations are encouraging less air travel and 75 percent are reporting at least a 5 percent rise in Web and teleconferencing in lieu of travel.

That trend is in evidence among large local employers.

At any given minute, three videoconferences are going on at Nationwide, said Dennis May, manager of live events for the company.

May said 2,025 had taken place by July this year, nearing the 2,112 mark for all of last year.

"The growth each year is just exponential," he said.

Nationwide has about 87 videoconference rooms and another 65 desktop units that can be used for that purpose. The company uses the conferencing for training, broadcasting big events and interviewing.

"The vice president in the Florida office was interviewing someone in Des Moines for a position down in Florida," May said. "We can reach anywhere in the world."

The practice cuts costs and improves efficiency, he said.

"Now you have an executive whose time is very valuable only being gone in a meeting for an
hour instead of two days," May said.

He said the company is buying new units with high-definition capabilities.

"The quality has gotten very good. It's like sitting in the same room with someone," he said.

As the technology improved, prices have gone down, said Ken Velten, the senior vice
president of marketing and corporate development for ConferencePlus, based in Schaumburg, Ill.

"Remember when people used to be concerned about (the cost of) making a long-distance
phone call? That's changed for conferencing as well," Velten said.

He said ConferencePlus, which offers phone, video and Web conferencing, saw a 70 percent increase this year from last in what it calls "Webinars."

Use of these online seminars can save a company money on hotel, airfare and other costs associated with a large conference, Velten said.

"It's a fraction of the overall cost to do it virtually," Velten said.

Research nonprofit Battelle relies on video and Web conferencing to reduce travel costs, especially in the international offices, spokeswoman Katy Delaney said.

Battelle has 20,000 employees in 120 locations, including new offices in South Korea, Japan, India and Malaysia.

"That is really where we're seeing the spike in videoconferencing," Delaney said. "You're talking travel expenses -- those are big."

Part of the increase in video and Web conferencing is the changing mind-set of workers, said Rao, the analyst.

"There's also an unconscious mental barrier that's going away because of a new generation of workers," she said. "They're used to video. They're used to YouTube."

VanBrimmer, who discovered the online chatting system this spring, said ooVoo and other social-network media have changed how he does business.

While he could use e-mail or the phone to develop contacts, he said, using video replicates a face-to-face meeting and brings a new comfort level to the arrangement.

"Although that person's not there physically in front of me, they're in front of me," he said. "The only thing you can't do is shake their hand."

Share Portal is the backbone of a suite of services that will allow ConferencePlus customers to store, publish, and share all their conferencing content, including recordings, media files, and any related files.

With the initial release of Share Portal, ConferencePlus customers are able to store their audio conference recordings in a single location. They can then place those recordings on secure web pages to be shared with others.

The creation of Share Portal is an outgrowth of ConferencePlus' high-end event management business, which began as developing custom Portals for larger customers. "We've had a long track record of managing the highly customized and complex events of major companies," commented Tim Reedy, President and CEO of ConferencePlus. "We realized there was an unmet need for an easy way to distribute their highly valuable content."

"Two years ago, we began proactively addressing this need," Reedy added. "For these customers, we developed custom portals that contain not only content that has been generated from our services, but we're taking their archived content and other files and adding that to their portal site as well."

With more customers in search of this service, ConferencePlus began a program of extensive customer research, including customer surveys and focus groups to determine their needs for a content management service. With the knowledge gained, ConferencePlus developed and productized Share Portal for all of their customers to manage their conferencing content.

"Customer-oriented product development has always been one the keystones of our success. No other conferencing provider has taken this kind of approach - our engineers are continually developing intuitive and easy to use tools that simplify the customer's experience," Tim Reedy said. "We see a lot of "me too" in this industry, so developing new online tools and services to meet customer needs is a strategic imperative to stay ahead of other Conferencing Service Providers. Take our My Account Dashboard for example, it is not only the most robust online account management tool in the industry, but we have provided custom branding of the Dashboard for over 100 customers because it's important to them to have their own look and feel." Reedy added.

Share Portal will be embedded into the Account Dashboard giving customers an easy way to store, publish, and share the captured content from their conferences. This enhancement to Dashboard adds to a feature set that already includes the ability to schedule and edit automated conference calls, launch web conferences, and view service history and charges from previous meetings.

This launch of Share Portal is the first phase of a comprehensive suite of offerings that will include the ability to store and publish presentation files, web presentations, webcasts, videos, podcasts, and any other relevant content.
"The initial launch of Share Portal is just the beginning of the new services that ConferencePlus will bring to market and demonstrates ConferencePlus' dedication to first-in-market, best-in-industry conferencing tools," said Tim Reedy. "In this and other offerings to come, we'll continue empowering our customers with products and services that go beyond the simple conference call."

SCHAUMBURG, IL, JANUARY 31, 2008 - Conference Plus, Inc. (ConferencePlus™), a leading global provider of audio, web, and videoconferencing services, announced today a new agreement with Language Learning Enterprises, Inc., (LLE™) to provide its conferencing customers on-demand "live" 24-hour telephone interpretation in 150 different languages. The partnership significantly expands Conference Plus language options for customers around the world.

Conference Plus customers can now make an interpretation request, and within seconds, a live interpreter joins the conference call. LLE is the leading provider of 24-hour telephone interpretation, document and email translation, and language proficiency and fluency assessment to government, business and non-profit organizations across the world.

"We spoke with our customers and analyzed the market and found there was a growing need for on demand language options to support worldwide conferencing," said Ken Velten, Senior Vice President, Marketing, ConferencePlus. "We believe our partnership with LLE provides our customers with tools to thrive and compete in the global economy," Velten said.

"The customer service industry and conferencing, in particular, is constantly experiencing challenges with non-English speaking customers and prospects," says Clyde Anderson, Vice President of Marketing for LLE. "When these challenges exist, an organization experiences a decrease in customer service and an increase in un-serviced requests. LLE-Language Services is delighted to provide ConferencePlus with a credible, high quality solution at every point of customer contact, whether the need is for translation or interpretation," Anderson said.

According to LLE, nearly 20 percent of people in the United States alone speak limited English. ConferencePlus recognizes this reality and the agreement addresses the language and interpretation need.
